Karen M. Stone’s life has been a testament to hard work, strength, and an unwavering dedication to making a positive impact on the world. Born as the oldest of four children, her early years shaped her values and competitive nature while igniting her passion for taking care of others.
With a relentless pursuit of knowledge, Karen pursued higher education, earning a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Penn State and a law degree from Villanova. She always immersed herself in books and learning to excel in everything she undertook. This pursuit of knowledge paid off as Karen proudly earned prestigious positions with top accounting firms and law firms over the years. Her love for reading, especially the Harry Potter series, was her favorite way to unwind.
However, Karen’s proudest achievements came in the form of her family. She married her high school sweetheart and husband of 30 years, Scott, after meeting at Upper Merion High School as teenagers. They went on to have three beautiful children: Katie, Courtney, and Scott. Karen was an extremely active and involved mother while also continuing her successful career as the COO of Tritech Applied Sciences, working alongside her husband until her passing.
In addition to her work and family, Karen enjoyed golfing, playing with her dogs, basking in warm weather, and, most of all, football season.
Despite her success, she never forgot the importance of giving back. Karen instilled this value in her children by encouraging them to choose a charity to donate half of their allowance to from a young age. Throughout her life, she was a strong supporter of numerous charitable foundations focusing on Autism, Veterans, Women’s Empowerment, Postpartum Depression, and Education, among others.
Unexpectedly, in April 2019, Karen passed away. In her absence, her family and friends have taken on the task of supporting the causes that were most important to her, creating the Karen M. Stone Charitable Foundation in her honor. It is the hope that this foundation will have the same positive effect on the world that Karen had during her lifetime.
